ENGINEERING SPECIFICATION

Cable shall be Alpha Wire Company XTRA•GUARD® 5. Manufactured from stranded, tin coated copper conductors in accordance with ASTM-B-33. Conductors shall be insulated and jacketed with fluorinated ethylene propylene FEP Teflon®, which exceeds requirements of the UL VW-1 and 210,000 BTU/HR Flame Tests.

Conductor Insulation shall conform with UL style 1886 (300 Volt , 150°C).

Insulated conductors shall be fully color coded.

Cable shall meet or exceed the requirements of UL Style 20229, 20231 and 20232 for 300 Volt installations, and CSA CMP FT6 for 300 Volt applications.

Cable shall be approved for use in mines in accordance with Pennsylvania Bureau of Deep Mine Safety, P-MWMS-1-85.

Cable shall be unaffected by any known chemicals, acids, fuels, solvents or oils at room temperature.

Cable shall be resistant to weather, heat aging and ultraviolet (UV) light

     Foil/braid combination. Triple laminate tape,
     aluminum/polyester/aluminum bonded in one layer, 25%
     overlap, overall 70% coverage tinned copper braid shield.
     Provides maximum shielding effectiveness.
