Alpha Wire molded and tested RS-232-C data cable assemblies are designed to meet the requirements of the EIA RS-232 specification. Compliance with the requirements of this specification assures the end user high quality intra-system transmission of signals between the computer memory and peripherals such as printers, VDU's and other ancillary equipment under RS-232-C guidelines. These molded assemblies have improved cable strain relief over conventional RS-232-C cable assemblies.
*Most terminal interfaces conform to the Electronic Industries Association standard RS-232-C. This standard specifies a 25-pin connector with numbered pin assignments for data (transmit and receive), Ground, control and timing circuits. The RS-232-C specification limits cable lengths to 50 feet or less because of capacitance limitations, but provides the greatest flexiblity in equipment selection.
